Congratulations to three of our organizations - Friends of Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Caddo Lake Institute and Greater Caddo Lake Association - for a wonderfully successful celebration of the opening of the Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge! 500 people were on hand to hear Congressman Louis Gohmert, Don Henley, and representatives of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service describe the years of work that went into establishing the refuge. A traditional drum blessing by the Caddo Nation opened the ceremony.
We were delighted to see representatives of other member groups at the refuge opening. Our network is working!
We invite our member organizations to let us know when they have a special success. We’ll share with the other member groups.
