Driving Directions from Marshall, Texas

Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge is located northeast of Marshall, Texas at Karnack in Harrison County. To get there from Marshall:

  1. Proceed north on Texas 43 for ten (10) miles from its intersection with Loop 390;
  2. Turn right on Spur 449;
  3. Go north on 449 for one (1) mile; road forks - take the right fork;
  4. Cross Highway 134 and KCS Railroad;
  5. The entrance to the Refuge is directly in front of you;
  6. Take a jog to the left and go to a stand of big pines. Enter the parking lot on the left side of the road (all within 1/4 mile of the Guard House Entrance).
